Teacher Education in a Global Context: Challenges and Opportunities

The first international conference of the WFATE was held at the Hilton Chicago on February 12th and 13th in conjunction with the annual meeting of the U.S. ATE. The theme of the conference was Education in a Global Context: Challenges and Opportunities and featured exciting keynote presentations by Dr. Kay Livingston and Dr. William Speer. The conference was organized around the following strands:

The conference included a number of panel and poster sessions and more than 25 papers were presented on topics of interest to international teacher educators.

Proceedings of the Conference:

These papers were peer-refereed and selected for publication on the web-site.

At the end of the conference an invitation was extended to participants to attend the next WFATE conference to be held in Nairobi in 2012. We hope you will join us for this next important conference.
